Kentish Flats Extension
Cables ready: The Kentish Flats Extension's export and inter-array cables will be loaded onto the BoDo Installer and Nostag 10 vessels in Nordenham, Germany, on 1 May.
They will then be transported to the project site off England's south-east coast, where installation will commence later that month.
's 49.5MW project is an extension of the 90MW Kentish Flats, installed in 2005. 22-Apr-15

Registration closes: Registration of parties interested in closed on 22 April.
Developed by Smart Wind – a joint venture between Mainstream Renewable Power and Siemens Financial Services – the up to 1.8GW project is the second being developed in the Hornsea zone, in the North Sea off Yorkshire.
It is planned for a site in the centre of the zone, north and west of Hornsea 1, now owned by Dong Energy. 23-Apr-15
Hornsea 1
Seabed survey: Fugro GeoConsulting has completed geotechnical work for Dong Energy, at the site of the planned 1.2GW Hornsea 1 project.
Fugro was awarded the £13m (€18m) contract in November 2014 and the survey campaign lasted four months, during which time Fugro's Greatship Manisha and Bucentaurwere deployed.
The project is planned for a site 120 kilometres off the UK's east coast. It is due to be completed by 2020. 23-Apr-15
Nordergrunde
UXO survey: Grid operator Tennet has contracted Bitek Bergungsdienst to undertake ordnance clearance along Nordergrunde's 28 kilometre cable route.
Planned for a site in the Weser estuary, the 111MW is being developed by wpd. It is due for completion in 2016. 23-Apr-15
Borkum West 2
Connection milestone: Half of the 40 Areva M5000 turbines at the 200MW Trianel Windpark Borkum (Borkum West 2 phase 1) are now supplying power to the grid.
began in February 2015 after the DolWin1 grid link via the DolWin alpha converter platform was completed in December 2014.
The grid connection is stable and was unaffected by a recent storm. The weather is an important factor in the commissioning of individual turbines, which should be completed across the whole project by summer 2015. The Aker Wayfarer vessel is being deployed during the commissioning phase. 23-Apr-15
East Anglia One
Consultancy hired: GoBe Consultants has been contracted by ScottishPower Renewables, to manage the discharge of the consent conditions for .
It will provide project management, technical environmental services and stakeholder consultation and work closely with the 714MW project's contractors and engineers.
It will also liaise with key statutory and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance is achieved. Planned for a site in the North Sea, East Anglia One should be completed by 2020. 23-Apr-15
WindFloat
EC backing: The European Commission has found a Portuguese aimed at promoting renewable energy technologies to be in line with EU state aid rules.
The scheme – covering wind, wave and tidal energy – will support 50MW of demonstration projects, of which 25MW has already been allocated to the second phase of the WindFloat project.
Planned for a site 20 kilometres offshore, WindFloat phase 2 will test floating offshore turbines.
Aid will be granted for 25 years, in the form of a feed-in-tariff. The project will also benefit from investment aid and NER300 funding. A 2MW pilot phase came online in 2012. 24-Apr-15
