Milestone: Turbine installation at EnBW Baltic 2 is progressing, with 54 of the 80 Siemens 3.6MW turbines now in place.

Mermaid
Permit approved: Belgium's Secretary of State for the North Sea, Bart Tommelein, has approved Mermaid's environmental permit.
The 266MW project is planned for a site in the , 50 kilometres offshore.
A consortium of Belgian companies under the name THV Mermaid is developing the project. 17-Apr-15
Thornton Bank
Vessel deployed: GeoSea's jack-up vessel Thor is to be deployed for maintenance work at Thornton Bank for three months.
It is currently docked at the Port of Oostende, Belgium. Located 30 kilometres offshore, Thornton Bank comprises the 30MW Thornton Bank 1 and the 295MW Thornton Bank 2 & 3.
The C-Power consortium, made up of DEME, RWE Innogy and EDF-EN, developed the projects. Thornton Bank was officially in September 2013. 17-Apr-15
Denmark Nearshore
EIAs ready: Energinet.dk has prepared the Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for Denmark's six near shore sites.
A report for the 50MW Bornholm has been published and will be available for public hearing until 18 June 2015.
Those for Saeby, Smalandsfarvandet, Sejerobugten, Vesterhav Nord and Vesterhav Syd will be sent out for public hearing shortly.
The Danish government put out for the six nearshore sites, a total of 350MW, in February. 20-Apr-15
Sheringham Shoal
Service extension: Statkraft has contracted Alstom to service Sheringham Shoal's substations for a further three years.
The contract covers emergency support and preventive maintenance, for the 317MW wind farm's one onshore and two offshore substations.
Alstom designed and built the substations in 2011 and has maintained them since then. lies in the North Sea, off the Norfolk coast. 20-Apr-15
