Gamesa to install 260MW in India

INDIA: Gamesa has won a 160MW deal G97-2MW low wind turbines to go to a project in India from Indian developer Greenko.

The 160MW contract is part of a 300MW supply agreement between the two companies.

The new project is located in the Jaisalmer region, in the state of Rajasthan. According to Gamesa, it will come online by June.

This is not the first time Greenko has used the G97. Last year Greenko's 50MW Balavenkatpuram 2 project in Andhra Pradesh came online using the same model.

Additionally,  Gamesa has won a 100MW deal from CLP to go to a project in central India.

The Chandgargh project is located in in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Gamesa said the project will come online by December.
