According to Gamesa, the contracts have been signed with three of the country's main independent power producers.
The Spanish manufacturer will deliver 110 G97-2MW turbines to five projects in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in the north of the country and Karnataka in the south-west.
The turbines will be made at local factories and are due to be delivered in March 2015, with Gamesa providing long-term operations and maintenance to the projects.
A third of Gamesa's Q1 sales this year have happened in India. In April, the firm announced a 100MW order from operator Greenko, for which Gamesa will supply 50 of the G97 turbines to projects in Rajasthan, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
At the end of 2013 Gamesa had installed morethan 1.1GW in turbine capacityn India and was the country's largest original equipment manufacturer.
