The contract is part of a framework agreement signed in 2013 with clean energy owner/operator Greenko for the supply of 300MW of turbines. With this latest deal, Gamesa has received firm orders of 250MW under the agreement.
The projects in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan will be fitted with Gamesa's G97-2MW turbines. They are due to be commissioned in two phases, with the first coming online in September and the second in March 2015.
As well as installing the machines, Gamesa will provide operations and maintenance services for a period of five years.
India provided Gamesa with 22% of its revenues in 2013 as the company looks to diversify following the collapse of its Spanish home market. The manufacturer has installed 1.1GW in India and has a pipeline of 4.3GW.
