Vestas 40MW order for eastern Germany

GERMANY: Vestas has been handed a 40MW order from UKA Group for a number of projects in eastern Germany.

The order consists of the 20 V90-2MW turbines, installation and serving. The delivery is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Based in the eastern German province of Saxony, UKA has developed wind farms with a combined capacity of 165MW.

Speaking about the deal, Hans Jørn Rieks, President of Vestas Central Europe said: "For years, UKA has been an outstanding customer and we have been pleased to grow with them as its business has expanded and matured."
