Vestas has announced a 114MW order for the Rogue’s Wind project in Pennsylvania, US.
The Danish wind turbine giant will supply 19 of its V162-6.0 MW model to the project, after receiving the order from its developer, Competitive Power Ventures.
Delivery of the turbines will begin in early 2025, with commissioning expected later that year.
The Rogue’s Wind project will be based in a repurposed coal mine in Cambria and Clearfield Counties, Pennsylvania. The project is set to be completed in 2026.
The project should deliver electricity for around 32,000 households, according to the developer
