Vestas announces 400MW wind turbine order haul in Americas and Europe

Vestas has announced five orders from the Americas and Europe, totalling 404MW. 

The largest is a 252MW order, for 56 of its V163-4.5MW turbines for an undisclosed US project. Delivery is scheduled for Q3 2026, with commissioning following in Q1 2027. 

It will also supply 11 of its V163-4.5MW turbines to an undisclosed 50MW project in the Dominican Republic, with delivery and commissioning scheduled for the end of 2025.

The three European orders comprise one for 21 of its V110-2.2MW turbines for a 46MW project in France, one for three of its V162-6.2MW turbines and two of its V150-5.4MW turbines for the 29MW Terzo di Banzi project in Basilicata, Italy and another for six of its V150-4.5MW turbines for a 27MW project in Greece. In each case, delivery is scheduled for 2025.

All five orders also include service for 20 years, except for the US one, where the service term is ten years.
