Speaking at the WindEnergy Hamburg trade show, Zint said offshore wind business for ports is going through "a little slump" caused by to Germany's offshore targets.
However, he welcomed the greater stability since the matter has been settled. "One of the positive signals coming from the decision is that there is now more certainty about how many gigawatts will be built until 2020 and 2030," he said.
"This will provide stability for the market, and investors will come, and this will create business, hopefully for us but also for other ports in Germany."
Zint also highlighted that the servicing of existing projects is another source of business for the port, with further work provided from the servicing of substations in the North Sea.
