Fujian Energy makes 48MW Gamesa order

CHINA: Gamesa has received a 48MW order for a project in the Fujian Province on the south east coast of China.

Gamesa will provide 24 G90-2.0MW turbines

The company will manufacture 24 G90-2.0MW turbines for the developer Fujian Energy. Delivery will take place in September and the project is planned to be completed by the end of 2014.

The turbines are designed for class I high-wind sites. The coastal area of Fujian can experience very high winds and are regularly affected by tropical storms.

In March, the Spanish manufacturer also agreed to supply 25 turbines with a capacity of 49.3MW to a wind farm in the north of the country being developed by Chinese producer CGN Energy.

Last year, Gamesa also signed an agreement to supply 100MW of turbines to Ningxia Hanas New Energy Group for a 300MW development in Yanchi County towards the north of the country.
