A joint venture between German utility EnBW and Turkish investment firm Borusan struck the deal with Vestas for turbines for its five planned projects in the country.
The agreement covers Vestas' V112-3MW machines, designed for medium wind sites.
Work on the first wind farm, a 27MW extension of the Bandirma project in the north of the country, is set to start "shortly", said EnBW.
The German company said the turbine deal is the largest to date in the Turkish wind energy market.
The joint venture has plans to expand Turkey's generation capacity by 2GW, primarily in the field of renewable energy.
