Gamesa wins 128MW Brazil order

BRAZIL: Gamesa is to supply Gestamp Wind with turbines with a capacity of 128MW for use on five Brazilian wind farms.

All of the projects will use the G97-2MW machine
The projects, in Rio Grande do Norte state in the far east of the country, will feature 64 G97-2MW turbines .

The five wind farms are the 20MW Santana I, 30MW Santana II, 30MW Santana III, 28MW Lanchinha and 20MW Pelado.

The agreement covers installation and commissioning, as well as maintenance for ten years.

The turbines are set to be delivered in early 2014, while the wind farms are expected to be commissioned by the end of the year.

Separately, the two companies have agreed the installation of five G90-2MW turbines at the Adares wind farm, which Gestamp is developing in a joint venture with Faik Celik in Selçuk, in the province of Izmir, in the west of Turkey.
