In his previous role Foley headed up Acciona’s wind and solar business in North America. Prior to joining Acciona in 2007, Foley was a director of wind developer Invenergy.
Foley takes the role shortly after Acciona’s announcement that it is looking for partners for Acciona “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç. The company said the move would allow it to compete more effectively on the global market.
Speaking about the appointment of Foley, Rafael Mateo, senior executive director of Acciona Energy said: "Dan has been a key member of the management team, and has a great understanding of what we need to continue to build Acciona’s presence in North America."
