A total of 12 turbines will be installed at the Hennøy project in Svelgen, west Norway.
The machines will be installed with 82-metre hub heights on "customised" steel towers, according to Vestas. However it would not give further detail on how the towers are to be altered.
The project is due online in Q3 2019. The order includes a 15-year servicing agreement.
Vestas said the order is the first for its new V136-4.2MW turbine model in Norway.
Vestas unveiled the new 4.2MW model in June 2017. It has three standard rotor sizes available: 136, 117, and 150 metres.
It was announced in December 2017 that the V136-4.2MW turbine will be used at an OX2 project in Sweden.
Also in December, Vestas won a 54MW deal to supply the V136 in its previous 3.6MW rating to a site in the southeast of the country.
According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, the research and data division of “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç, Vestas has supplied almost 150MW of operating capacity to Norwegian projects. It has a further 1.3GW in the pipeline, including the 1GW Fosen complex.
Germany
Vestas has also announced a 14MW repowering contract from a citizen-owned project in Germany.
It will replace four V66-1.65MW turbines with four V117-3.45MW machines at the Rakow project in eastern Germany.
The project won a licence in Germany's second auction round in August 2017, which was dominated by citizen-owned sites.
Ukraine
Repeat customer Vindkraft Group has placed a 97MW order with Vestas to supply turbines to two projects in Ukraine.
A total of 27 V136-3.6MW turbines will be installed at the Overyanivska and Novotroitske II projects. Both sites are located in the Kherson region, southern Ukraine.
