The Hamnefjel project will comprise 15 Vestas V112 3.45MW turbines, part of the company's upgraded platform revealed in November. Vestas will service the turbines for 15 years.
The manufacturer said the project region in Norway was "known for its high-wind conditions". The project is being developed by a joint venture between local energy company Finnmark Kfrat and French private investment firm Ardian.
The project is expected to be online by the end of 2017, Finnmark Kraft said, after it arranged the financing deal with Ardian in January. There is an option to expand it by 70MW.
Ardian head of infrastructure, Mathias Burghardt said: "This project marks Ardian's entry into a new and exciting market and is our first investment in Scandinavia. Also this investment illustrates our strategy to build a leading pan-European energy platform with over 1GW installed capacity."
It is Vestas' second contract order in Norway in eight days following the deal from utility Statkraft to supply the revived 1GW Fosen complex with V117-3.45MW and V112-3.45MW turbines.
Vestas revealed its beefed up 3MW production range at the EWEA 2015 event in Paris in November. It increased the capacity of the platform from 3.3MW to 3.45MW.
