Nordex wins order from ABO Wind

FINLAND: German manufacturer Nordex has won a new order from repeat customer ABO Wind for a project in west Finland.

Nordex will deliver another three N131 3MW turbines to an ABO Wind project

Nordex will supply three N131 3MW turbines to the Muntila project and install them on 114-metre towers. 

 The turbines will be optimised for operation in cold climates, Nordex said. Delivery is expected to begin from September, and the deal includes 12-year servicing. 

The order follows a 27MW contract between Nordex and ABO Wind announced in November. Nordex won the contract to supply nine N131 3MW turbines to the project near Jamijarvi, 90km north-west of Tampere, also in west Finland. 

The German manufacturer said it installed roughly 130MW of turbines in Finland in 2016, around 22% of the market share.
