Gamesa wins 206MW in Brazil

BRAZIL: Industrial conglomerate Votorantim Energia has placed an order with Gamesa to supply turbines to projects in Piaui, east Brazil.

Gamesa's G114 turbine will be installed in Brazil

Gamesa will manufacture 98 G114 turbines with an ncrease 2.1MW capacity. The machines will be used at seven projects across the eastern state of Piaui.

This is the first time Gamesa will supply turbines to Votorantim projects. The Spanish manufacturer will also service the turbines for five years after the delivery and installation in 2017.

India

Elsewhere, Gamesa has also been awarded a turnkey contract by ReNew Power to supply the 40MW Lingsagur project in Karnataka, south-west India.

The project will comprise 20 G97-2MW turbines once completed, expected in March 2016.

Gamesa previously won a contract from ReNew Power in 2012 to supply turbines to the 74.65MW Jath project in the neighbouring state of Maharashtra, west India.
