The new pictures released by Vattenfall reveal the scale of the 6.4metre diameter monopiles.
The project is being jointly developed by Vattenfall and German utility Stadtwerke Munchen. The two firms also own the 288MW DanTysk project, located close to Sandbank, which was placed online earlier this year.
EEW SPC was contracted to manufacture the 72 monopiles that will support the Siemens 4MW turbines at the site 70 kilometres off the German coast. The 6.4-metre diameter monopiles were manufactured by EEW at its Rostock plant in northern Germany.
Fabrication of the bright yellow transition pieces were subcontracted to regular EEW partner Bladt Industries.
The developers made a final investment decision on the project in August 2014 and is expected to be completed in 2017.
