Bladt will partner Danish engineering firm Semco Maritime and consultancy ISC on the project, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2016.
The Danish steelworks specialist admitted the time frame for the project was "rather tight" but is confident it will deliver on time.
Under the EPCI contract, Bladt and its partners will manufacture the 3,500-ton substation, which includes two transformers and a helideck placed on a four-legged jacket structure.
Bladt also confirmed today it has been handed the deal from EEW SPC to supply the transition pieces for Sandbank's 72 Siemens 4MW turbines. EEW has been contracted by the developers to manufacture the project's monopiles.
The Sandbank offshore project is located 90 kilometres from the German coast, close to the 288MW DanTysk project, also being developed by Vattenfall and Stadtwerke Munchen.
