Under the turnkey agreement, Gamesa will supply 35 G114-2MW turbines to the Valentines project and be responsible for the installation and commissioning.
Gamesa will also service the development for 15 years. The manufacturer said it hoped to bring the project online by Q3 2016.
UTE awarded Gamesa a preliminary order for the project in June 2014 subject to the utility arranging project finance.
According to Gamesa, the company has installed 150MW in Uruguay, with a further 170MW in the pipeline, including the Valentines project.
In April, Gamesa won a 50MW deal from Spanish developer Smartener to provide 25 G114 turbines to the Maldonado II project, southeast Uruguay.
