The contract is for 25 G114 2MW low wind to go to the Maldonado II wind project in the south-east of the country. According to Gamesa the project will be commissioned in second quarter of 2016.
It includes a five-year service agreement.
Speaking about the deal, Gamesa said it will be the first time the G114 has been installed in the country.
According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç's data division, “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, Gamesa has installed 150MW in Uruguay. Projects include the 50MW Talas de Maciel I project, in Flores, which uses G90 2MW turbines.
