Gamesa wins 50MW deal in Uruguay

URUGUAY: Gamesa has been awarded an order for a 50MW project in Uruguay from Spanish developer Smartener

The project will use Gamesa's G114 2MW turbine

The contract is for 25 G114 2MW low wind to go to the Maldonado II wind project in the south-east of the country. According to Gamesa the project will be commissioned in second quarter of 2016.

It includes a five-year service agreement.

Speaking about the deal, Gamesa said it will be the first time the G114 has been installed in the country.

According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç's data division, “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, Gamesa has installed 150MW in Uruguay. Projects include the 50MW Talas de Maciel I project, in Flores, which uses G90 2MW turbines.
