Allianz acquires 33MW project in Sweden

SWEDEN: Nordic developer OX2 has sold Allianz the Maevaara wind project for an undisclosed fee.

The project has a PPA for one of Google's data centres

The Maevaara wind project uses Nordex N117 3MW medium wind turbines and is due to come online in 2016.

According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, Allianz has around 730MW of online projects. These include the 52.8MW Sattravallen project in Sweden, the 76MW Dahme in Germany and the 72MW Francofonte in Italy.

In November last year, Google signed a power purchase agreement on the Maevaara project for one of its data centres in Finland.

OX2 has a project pipeline of around 820MW, with most of the projects located in Sweden.
