Vestas secures 33MW Swedish order

SWEDEN: Vestas has been awarded a 33MW contract from financial firm Allianz Capital Partners to supply a project in Sandviken, east Sweden.

Vestas V126-3.3MW turbine will be installed at Mombyasen

Vestas will manufacture ten V126-3.3MW turbines for the Mombyasen project, due online in 2016. The manufacturer will also service the turbines for ten years.

The Mombyasen project is owned by investment firm Allianz after it acquired the project from local wind developer Arise AB on 6 August 2015. Arise will continue to develop and oversee the construction of the project.

Arise only acquired the project from E.on Wind Sweden on 1 June.

In March 2015, Vestas was awarded a 122MW order from Allianz for the Sorby project in central Sweden. Vestas will supply 37 V117-3.3MW turbines to the project also expected online next year.
