The German turbine manufacturer was won the deal from InfraRed Capital Partners, a London-based investment firm. InfraRed acquired the site in 2013 from UK developer Coronation Power.

UK developer Partnerships for Renewables was contracted by InfraRed to construct the project. Installation is set to begin in April 2015.

Senvion previously worked with Partnerships for Renewables at the 4MW Oakdale wind development in Wales, which was commissioned last month.

The 3.4M104 Senvion turbine has been designed for Ib and IIa high and medium wind speed sites and uses a 104-metre diameter rotor.
