The German developer loaded its Victoria Mathias installation vessel with the components for four towers, nacelles and hubs at the Bremerhaven Port, northern Germany.

Construction of the project's foundations was completed in March and the cable-laying is "progressing according to plan", according to the company.

RWE has released pictures of the vessel being loaded up in before it left to deliver the items to their North Sea destination, 35 kilometres from Heligoland.

RWE's Friedrich Ernestine vessel will also be helping with the project by transporting and installing the 144 blades at the site.
