The vessel specialist will send its JB 114 jack-up vessel to temporarily accommodate workers whilst commissioning is undertaken at the 295MW project's transformer station starting in July.
RWE says the use of the platform for two months will mean the accommodation can be right next to the substation and be lifted above the waves, increasing safety.
The JB 114 provides bedrooms for 40 people as well as conference and office rooms.
The need for offshore accommodation is ever increasing as offshore projects grow in size, complexity and distance from the shore.
'Floatels' are becoming more popular with some vessels being able to accommodate up to 500 people at a time.
In November, Dutch shipbuilder Damen launched a new 'walk-to-work' service vessel which provides both accommodation and on-site work facilities.
