Repower appoints CTO

GERMANY: Repower has made a number of changes to its management team including the appointment of a new CTO to replace Matthias Schubert.

The company has appointed Russell Stoddart, vice president of engineering and sales at US automotive company Borgwarner, to the CTO role. Stoddart was previously senior vice president engineering with Vestas from 2009 to 2012.

Additionally, as exclusively revealed by “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç in May, Repower has formally appointed Lars Rytter from Nordex as chief operating officer. Rytter had been Repower's chief supply chain officer prior to joining Nordex in 2008.

Rytter will be charged with cost-cutting, primarily in the areas of supply and production.

As was revealed in May, current COO Vinod Tanti is to rejoin Repower's owner Suzlon.

Other board-level changes include the appointment of regional head of sales, Henrik Böschen, who succeeds Kyriakos Kosmidis and will now oversee lifecycle engineering and sales. Kai Froböse will be responsible for project management, service, finance and controlling.
