Vestas wins 102MW California project

UNITED STATES: Vestas has been handed a 102MW deal by for a project in California.

The contract, which is with Quebec-based Brookfield Renewable Power and Coram California Development Management, is for 34 V90 3MW turbines.

Vestas was unable to give details of the project’s exact name or location, although the turbines would be delivered in the second half of this year.

However, Coram received a 20-year PPA from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company in November last year for the 102MW Coram Brodie wind project. The wind farm is to be built in the Tehachapi Pass.

The deal includes a two-year service agreement.
