Wind Tech: Record rotor size boosts power rating
WORLDWIDE: With the 7MW V164-7.0MW offshore turbine, Vestas has introduced a higher power rating compared with several 6MW+ class main competitors and a record-size rotor diameter. One uncommon aspect of the machine, both for Vestas and the industry at large, is the use of a medium speed, geared drive system.
