GSI has also signed the deal is for 24 V80 2MW turbines for a project in Huitengxile, in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The turbines are set to be delivered by the end of the year.
Vestas did not give an indication of when the 250MW supply agreement was set to expire. It only said the project would be developed "in the coming years."
According to Vestas, GSI is a privately-owned company with interests in the finanicial sector.
This is the second 100MW+ deal Vestas has signed in China this week. Yesterday, it announced an unnamed customer had ordered 100MW (50 V90 2MW machines) for Shandong Province, China.
