Juhl hands Gamesa 10MW order

UNITED STATES: Gamesa has secured a deal with community wind developer Juhl Wind to supply 10MW for project in Minnesota.

The Valley View project, which is located near Chandler in the south of the state, will use five G87 2MW turbines. Electricity generated from the project will go to Northern States Power.

The site is set to begin operating by the second half of the year.

According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Global Market Status report, at the end of 2010, Minnesota had an installed wind capacity of 2,209MW. 397MW of this was installed in the previous 12 months.
