Vestas has been handed the deal by Nasudden Vast Invest, Slitewind AB and Stugyl AB for 21 V90 3MW turbines. It includes installation and a 15-year service agreement.
In 1999 eight turbines were ordered from Vestas by Slitevind, to be installed at Smojen in northwest Gotland in the spring. The 9.34MW wind farm used four 1.65MW units and four 660kW turbines.
Separately, Vestas has won a contract from BKW FMB Energy to supply 23MW for Volturino wind project in Apulia, Italy. The deal is for 13 V90 1.8MW turbines.
