The Graminhais wind park, with 10 turbines and an installed capacity of 9MW, is set to become operational on the island of Sao Miguel in 2011. On the island of Sao Jorge, three 330kW turbines will be installed, taking the total power of the Pico da Urze wind park to 1.6MW in 2011. On the island of Santa Maria, EDA will add two wind turbines at the Figueiral wind park, bringing its total capacity to 1.56MW. On the island of Graciosa, EDA will install two new turbines to take the installed capacity of the Serra Branca wind park to 1.26MW.
