Green hydrogen company Lhyfe is partnering with wind power developer OX2 and fertiliser firm Velarion on a 320MW wind farm project designated for green hydrogen production.
Swedish renewables firm OX2 is currently developing the 320MW Marktjärn project in the Ånge municipality, northern Sweden.
On Wednesday (28 August) the company announced it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lhyfe and Velarion to centre the project as a green hydrogen industrial hub.
The companies plan to use Marktjärn's estimated 1.4TWh annual electricity production to power 300MW of electrolysis capacity to produce green hydrogen.
OX2 said the entire industrial hub including the wind farm is due online between 2029 and 2030.
Velarion plans to build what Lhyfe claims would be one of the world’s first carbon-neutral fertiliser plants in the industrial cluster centred at Marktjärn.
