Nordex has secured a deal to supply its turbines for a 253MW German onshore wind portfolio being developed by UKA.
It will supply 39 of its N149/5.X, N163/5.X and N163/6.X turbines for 13 UKA projects in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg.
UKA had secured power deals for five of these projects in Germany’s most recent onshore wind tender.
The German companies agreed the deal at the end of March, they stated.
UKA has now ordered 450MW of wind turbines from Nordex in the last three months.
It plans to sign further orders with Nordex this year.
The UKA deal follows Nordex announcing similarly large turbine orders in recent weeks in Lithuania and South Africa, as well as a large framework deal covering European markets.
