French renewables developer Valorem has entered Sweden’s wind power market after signing a partnership agreement to develop 1GW of wind and solar with Swedish counterpart Tribrid.
Valorem has over 850MW of wind power capacity in operation or under construction.
The company is developing a combined total of 1.5GW of wind and solar projects in Finland, including 400MW of wind projects that are "ready to build", it stated.
Valorem added the deal reflected a longer history of cooperation between itself and the "founding members of Tribrid”, who partnered with the company in the Nordic countries during the 2010s.
Valorem has a total of 5.4GW of assets online and under development including wind projects in mainland France, Guadeloupe, Greece, and Poland.
