Entap was set up in 2006 by investment manager Platina Energy Partners. It provides management and due diligence services for wind and solar power projects in Europe.

According to its website, Entap manages more than 450MW of wind capacity in the UK, France, Sweden and Cyprus.

As a result of the deal, Greensolvers' portfolio of managed renewable energy assets almost triples from 488MW to 1.2GW, the French firm said.

As well as the Entap staff, Greensolver also adds offices in Ireland, Cyprus and Spain to its business.

"We now benefit from an operational presence in nine countries, among which we can find four of the most dynamic and promising markets: France, Netherlands, Ireland and Spain," said Greensolver CEO Guy Auger.

In April 2017, Greensolver formed a joint venture with developer Infinergy in the UK.
