Eolfi’s move follows the trend for developers to become project managers for third parties. The company says 'Greensolver', as the service is called, aims to minimise the risks associated with building the facility and maximise the revenues once the turbines are up and running.
It covers the whole process from drafting technical specifications to ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Eolfi has built 207MW of operating wind capacity in France and Greece and has 330MW under construction. The latest addition is a 24MW facility at Charmont-sous-Barbuise in the Aube département of north east France.
Consisting of 12 Repower turbines, the plant takes the total installed capacity for eastern France to over 1000MW. This represents nearly a quarter of the country's operating capacity.
