UK cable designers Kintech Energy designed the new hang-off, using layers of components bolted together.
The solution is also reusable, meaning less waste if a cable needs replacing, VBMS said.
According to VBMS, Vattenfall Wind has shown an interest in the design for its Horns Rev 3 project, due to be installed off Denmark next year.
