One Energy said the deal would see 20 1.5MW turbines supplied for its "Wind for Industry" initiative, whereby turbines are added to power an industrial facility, reducing dependency on the grid.
In an initial deal, Goldwind Americas will supply four GW87 1.5MW turbines to the Whirlpool Corporation facilities in Ohio.
"Manufacturers are taking control of their energy future. They want clean energy, they want low fixed rates, and they want it now; and that is exactly what we give them," said One Energy CEO Jereme Kent.
"Goldwind has earned their seat at the table for this emerging commercial & industrial (C&I) market over the last five years. We know their technology and their management team very well and they continue to demonstrate a worldwide commitment to support these direct-to-load projects," Kent added.
One Energy said it plans to start stocking turbines in order to cut delivery times.
"We aren't there yet, but we are headed that way as fast as we can," said Kent.
