Nordex wins Turkish deal with new 3.9MW

TURKEY: Nordex will debut its new low-wind turbine at a 39MW project in western Turkey.

Nordex has secured over 100MW in orders from Erdem Holding in four years

The Eber project is located near the city of Afyonkarahisar in western Anatolia and is being developed by repeat Nordex customer Erdem Holding.

The city is situated more than 1km above sea level, meaning average wind speeds are 7.8m/s, according to Nordex.

Nordex's N131/3900 turbines will be installed on 84-metre towers from spring 2018, with commissioning expected by the end of the year.

This is the fourth time Erdem has ordered Nordex technology, with the three previous orders coming in 2014, totalling 90.6MW.
