The two projects totalling 137.6MW were bought from Brookfield Renewable Ireland, a part of Canadian firm Brookfield Asset Management.
The new subsidiary, Greencoat Renewables, now owns the 100MW Knockacummer project in County Cork, comprising 40 Nordex N90 2.5MW turbines, and the 37.6MW Killhills site in County Tipperary with 16 Enercon E82 2.35MW machines.
"Greencoat Renewables intends to raise further long-term capital, over time, to build a leading portfolio of operating renewable energy assets in Ireland with the objective of delivering a progressive income stream to investors," the firm said.
The investment firm also owns Greencoat UK Wind, which has a portfolio of 19 projects and a net generating capacity of 420MW.
