Vestas racks up Spain, China and US orders

WORLDWIDE: Vestas has secured orders from three of the world's top four markets totalling 275MW.

Vestas' V100 1.8MW turbine will be installed at the Ausines project in Spain

United States

The largest of the three orders was for 200MW of V110 2MW turbines for an undisclosed project in the US. The manufacturer will service the turbines for five years.

Delivery is expected by the end of the year, with project commissioning due in early 2017.

China

In China, Vestas won a 48MW order from Datang Renewables to supply the Gaoqiao project in the Liaoning province, north-east China.

Vestas will manufacture 24 V110 2MW turbines for the project, with delivery and commissioning due in the second half of 2016.

Earlier in the week, Vestas also announced a servicing deal arranged with the Hanas Group.

The Danish firm will maintain all of Hanas's turbines in Yanchi County, part of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region in north-west China.

The four-year deal covers 600MW of turbines across 12 projects.

Spain

Lastly, Vestas won a 27MW order from Energias Renovables del Bierzo, a family-owned Spanish company specialising in engineering and project development.

The manufacturer said 15 V100-1.8MW turbines will be installed at the Ausines project in the Burgos region of northern Spain.

Delivery is expected in Q3 2016, with commissioning due by the end of the year. Vestas will service the turbines for five years.
