Nordex turbines confirmed for Sameole-purchased wind project

FRANCE: Nordex-developed 10MW project has been sold to French developer Sameole at construction phase, and the order of four Nordex N100/2500 turbines has been confirmed.

Nordex will supply its N100/2500 turbine to the project

The Ondefontaine project is located in the Basse-Normandie region, northwest France. It will use four N100 2.5MW turbines.

Nordex's French development division had progressed the project up to construction phase with a view to use its turbines, and sold it to Sameole a few weeks ago.

Construction started in June, with the project due to go online in May 2016. Nordex will service the turbines for ten years.

Sameole currently has nine projects operating in France, with a total capacity of 81.8MW. Ondefontaine will be the company's first project using Nordex turbines.

In the first six months of the year, France added 523.7MW of new wind capacity, bringing total installed capacity to 9,713MW, according to figures recently released by the French Wind Energy Association, FEE.

The manufacturer has a number of development divisions in core markets, according to Nordex.
