Gamesa wins 100MW China deal

CHINA: Gamesa has been awarded a 100MW deal by Hebei Construction and Investment (HCI) to supply turbines to a project in Zhangjiakou, northeast China.

HCI has ordered 50 G97 2MW turbines for the Fengdianzhiqing project

Gamesa will provide 50 G97-2MW turbines for the Fengdianzhiqing project in Hebei province. Delivery is expected in Q3 2015 with commissioning due before the end of the year.

According to Gamesa, it has been contracted to supply 250MW of turbines to HCI since 2008.

In 2015 alone, the manufacturer signed two other deals with HCI. In January, the developer ordered 25 G97 turbines for a project in Shanxi province, northern China. These turbines were due to be delivered in May.

And in April, another 25 G97 turbines were ordered by HCI for the Senjitu II project in Hebei province.

In 2014, Gamesa was awarded 450MW of contracts from China.
