Samsung and Pattern have agreed a 20-year deal with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).
Construction of the project is expected to begin in 2016, with completion due in 2017. Pattern said up to 200 workers would be employed during the construction phase, with ten permanent jobs once it has been completed.
IESO is the Ontario local government-owned body in charge of the state's transmission network.
The 100MW North Kent development is the first phase of a 150MW project and an expansion to the South Kent project.
The 270MW South Kent site, also developed by the two companies, was commissioned in April 2014. South Kent uses 124 Siemens 2.3MW turbines.
