Gamesa wins 36MW Vattenfall deal

SWEDEN: Gamesa has won a deal to supply turbines to Vattenfall's 36MW Hoge Vag project in Skane, southern Sweden.

Gamesa's G97 2MW turbine will be delivered next year

The Spanish turbine manufacturer will supply 18 G97-2MW turbines to the project. It is Gamesa's first contract from Vattenfall.

The turbines will be delivered in the first half of next year with commissioning expected before the end of 2015.

Gamesa Europe CEO Ricardo Chocarro said Sweden was one of the company's priority markets. The firm has previously installed 50MW in the country.

In February, local developer Eolus Wind ordered four G114-2MW turbines from Gamesa for the 8MW Notasen wind project in east Sweden.
