Nordex receives EUR100 million EIB loan

GERMANY: The European Investment Bank (EIB) has awarded manufacturer Nordex a EUR100 million loan to be used for the development of new products.

Nordex N117 turbines are set to be used across German projects.

The EIB said the loan would help Europe achieve the targets of providing 27% of the required electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

The German manufacturer announced at the start of April that it had secured orders to install 55 of its low-wind N117/2400 turbines, plus further orders for the N117/3000 turbine, across several projects in Germany.
