The classification society said the turbine is now guaranteed to meet the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61400-22 and IEC 61400-1 requirements.
The conformity statement declaring the turbines had met the industry standard was handed over to Goldwind at the China International Wind Energy Exhibition in Shanghai.
Earlier this month, a state-level project in China chose to use 28 of the 2.5MW turbines to demonstrate integration between wind and solar power. The turbine is also used at projects in Romania and Australia.
Daniel Hein, country manager China for renewables certification at DNV GL, said: "This is a testament that the design of Goldwind complies with high safety and quality standards.
"The short certification process ensures that Goldwind's turbine can be introduced faster to the wind energy market as certification to harmonised requirements is an active support of export."
UK-based classification firm GL Garrad Hassan merged with its Norwegian counterpart DNV in September last year.
