The progress marks the start of offshore construction at the project, which will feature 35 Siemens 6MW turbines atop monopiles.
The work was carried out by GeoSea's Innovation vessel, which has carried the first five monopiles out to the site eight kilometres from shore.
Project director Duncan Clark said that the project is now entering a "very busy and complicated phase" as the foundations are installed and work starts of the laying of subsea cables.
The installation of the turbines themselves is due in the summer, with the project expected to be commissioned in the first half of 2015.
Construction is being managed from Dong's office in Grimsby in the north east of England, by a team of around 50 people.
Work is also currently underway onshore at the port in Grimsby to construct the permanent home for the operations and maintenance team that will service the wind farm over its 25-year lifetime.
